What is Chemistry? Important Questions & Answers of Chemistry #1

What is Chemistry ?

Molecular Formula of Organic

Chemistry is a study of matter, including its composition, properties, and structure ,how it changes, and how it interacts with energy. This is a pretty simple definition that sums up what is actually a complex and fascinating subject. If you have ever asked why or how something is in the natural world, odds are good that your question and the answer were related to chemistry.

For instance, why is the sky Blue? Colors depend on the chemical makeup of substances and what kind of light they reflect. How does an insect walk across the surface of a pond without falling through? The unique properties of water give it a high surface tension, which means that small objects can rest on it without sinking. Chemistry is all around, and anything related to matter involves chemistry.

Branch of Chemistry

There are five main branches of chemistry…each are listed below :-

Analytical chemistry =>IT uses qualitative and quantitative observation to identify and measure the physical and chemical properties of substances. In a sense, all chemistry is analytical.

Physical chemistry=> It combines chemistry with physics. Physical chemists study how matter and energy interact. and are two of the important branches of physical chemistry.

Organic chemistry=> It specifically studies compounds that contain the element . Carbon has many unique properties that allow it to form complex chemical bonds and very large molecules. Organic chemistry is known as the “Chemistry of Life” because all of the molecules that make up living tissue have carbon as part of their makeup.

Inorganic chemistry => It studies materials such as metals and gases that do not have carbon as part of their makeup.

Biochemistry => It is the study of chemical processes that occur within living organisms.
