What is Geography
Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. The one who study geography is called Geographer. Geographer explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there, and how they develop and change over time.
It is divided into two main branches: human geography and physical geography. There are additional branches in geography such as regional geography, cartography, and integrated geography.
Human geography
=> This is an important branch of geography that mainly involves the study of human race. This involves the study of the race, their origins, their interactions and the perceptions they have regarding various ideologies that affect them. It also includes the study of how these groups of people organize themselves in the places that they inhabit.
Physical Geography=> Physical geography is another major branch of geography that deals with the physical characteristics of the earth. This is not limited to the characteristics on the earth’s surface but also beneath the earth and around the earth surface. This branch of geography is also referred to as physiography
